About Carter Joffe

Final-carter-portrait300Spectrum Builders was started by Carter Joffe, a native of Connecticut. He grew up in Darien  surrounded by a family of entrepruneurs. As the second of three sons, Carter's father and grandfather taught him carpentry and at an early age, he began building jewelry boxes and lamps as gifts.  As his skill improved, he began building furniture and cabinets to sell.  By age 16, Carter became more comfortable in his craft as well as his role as a businessman, so he expanded his portfolio by building decks, custom closet systems, skylights, libraries and small additions.

While still in high school, Carter started working for a construction company that built concrete mausoleums.  This broadened the exposure that he needed to supplement the diverse experience necessary to be a successful building contractor. Along with carpentry and concrete structures, a knowledge of foundation work was an important aspect needed for the future of his profession.

After college, Carter returned north to start his own company. Spectrum Builders LLC was founded on the principles of honesty and integrity. By hiring only qualified, experienced  and professional carpenters, Spectrum Builders ensures that each project, large or small, is given full attention.  Working strictly on a referral basis, Spectrum Builders has grown solely by word of mouth as its sole mode of advertising, which to this day is still true.
